Journal of Fuel Chemistry and Technology , founded in 1956 (monthly publication), is headed by Chinese Academy of Sciences, and sponsored by Shanxi Institute of Coal Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences and Chinese Chemical Society. This journal is currently indexed in EI, Scopus and CSCD.

This journal mainly publishes reports of both basic and applied research in the chemistry and chemical engineering of many energy sources, including those involved in:

The nature, processing and utilization of coke, petroleum, natural gas, biomass, and sustainable new fuels

Applied catalytic research in the chemistry of synthesis of new or alternative energy sources, such as hydrogen energy, fuel cell, synfuels, biofuels and C1 chemistry

Related research includes pollution control and environmental protection during fuel conversion and utilization processing, such as elimination of environmentally hazardous effluents, waste (refuse)-derived fuels and waste treatments.

Types of publications include original research articles, short communications, research notes and reviews.

  Scope ofJournal:

  Type of Articles:

  Contributions falling into the following categories will be considered for publication:

  • Original, high-quality research papers (preferably no more than 20 double line-spaced manuscript pages, including tables and illustrations)

  • Short communications, for rapid publication (no more than 10 double line-spaced manuscript pages including tables and figures)

  • Research notes (no more than 10 double line-spaced manuscript pages including tables and figures)

  • Reviews that are topical, brief and prepared by experts in the subject area will be published. Normally, these will be requested by the Editor, and submission of reviews without prior discussion with the Editor is not recommended

  Manuscript Requirements:

  1. Manuscript should include title, author's name, work affiliation (including secondary affiliation, postal code and province and city), abstract, graphical abstract, keywords, text and references.

  2. Information of corresponding person (including Telephone number, E-mail address) should be placed in the end of 1st page of text as foot-note. Fund name and project approval number of the funded projects should also be mentioned.

  3.All figures and tables should be placed inthe text near the point of the first mention.The same data should not be presented in more than one figure or in both a figure and a table.The figures can be edited by Origin. Original and high-resolution photographs (separate JPEG graphics file) should be submitted.

  4. References should be individually numbered in the order as they are cited in the text, and listed in numerical sequence at the end of the paper, typed in double line spacing. Any unpublished works can not be listed in the references. In the reference list, periodicals[1], books[2], multi-author books with editors[3], proceedings[4], patents[5], and thesis[6] should be cited in accordance with the following examples:
